Stephan Tanguay developed virtual reality simulations of the falls using Unity3D, allowing animators and designers to experience the installation at full scale and accurately predict potential challenges. By simulating the mechanical timing down to the millisecond, the VR model helped forecast how the animations would interact with the magnetic array. Using animation data from PNG sequences, Stephan was able to convert it into a simulated mechanical flip-dot system, ensuring precision in the final execution.
