Stephan Tanguay, Founder & CEO of Super Polygon, was the Technical Lead and Experience Designer for this cutting-edge augmented reality installation developed for Meld Media. Using Unity3D and Vuforia, the experience transformed a large mural at the Waterloo Earth Sciences Museum into an interactive 3D journey.

Visitors used an iPad tablet mounted at the mural’s location to explore the environment from the time of the mastodons, observing their lives, fossilization, and the discovery of their remains. Using image tracking, the app projected an augmented reality experience that seamlessly merged history with modern-day environmental evolution, offering a dynamic, immersive narrative.
